Early English Flintlock Mechanisms

A detached English snaphance from a gun, c 1610, this lock was formerly in the WK Neal collection.


One of the earliest known examples of a detached English Lock, c 1635.


This is a detached English Lock Type 1, c1640. It was formerly in the collection at Levens Hall in Cumbria.


This is a Type 2 English Lock pistol, c 1640-44. This is probably the earliest known Type 2 English Lock and was formerly in the Clay Bedford collection.
